What Does The Clock Say Now?
Much better.

Me at 12/26/2003 12:51:00 PM

Oh, and another thing...
That clock on my entries is WAY off. I'll see what I can do about it.

The Editor
There isn't one. I had to go through today's post several times to correct mistakes I made. I frequently type "it" when I mean "in", and an occasional "every" will slip when I intend to say "ever". I hunt and peck quickly, rather than type. Comes from 20+ years as an aspiring writer.

Off to meeting with some friends, packing up my apartment some more, and staying out of trouble.

Once More With Header!
Better I should just have typed "Testing...One, Two, Three..."

Well, after viewing the finished sample, I 'm suddenly struck by the fact that the word FORTY is an ugly, ugly thing. It's so big and stark, but I suppose I named it because it's something I have to face. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I'd ever BE forty. Somehow all my sample futures were framed at the ripe age of 35. Somehow, that was all the "adult" I needed to achieve.

35 has come and gone with the new millenia, and here comes "The Big Four-Ohhh".

Why I'm reluctant? Well, I don't have my penthouse, my flying car, my dream woman, or my 2.5 kids yet. I thought maybe by blogging, I could work some of this crazy regret out of my system and make some paradigm shifts up in my aging cranium. If not, this blog will end pretty abruptly.

The first great step is that I'm moving to Manhattan after the new year. It worked out like that. I was born here and was brought in my swaddling clothes to here.

After less than ten years, I was shipped upstate by my newly-"single" mother to here. From this little wonderland I learned and did a whole buncha things which made me the blogger I am today. I also wound up leaving there to start a Four + Six Year Midwestern Odyssey which ended in a Profession for which I will soon be licensed. Even though the license is not wholly supported in New York State yet, I'm still going back home.

I'm going to blog my adventures getting to/living in/commuting from/job searching in New York. I'll give my friends some shout outs, find ways to post some pictures, and generally go public in our new 21st Century exhibitionistic/voyeur society.

I don't know if you can send me e-mails yet or post comments to the blog yet, but if there's a way I'll find it.

I'll holla at you later.

What then? Is this my first entry in the weblog?
