Deluded Mind
Yeah, I figured if I go bodily to the personnel agency that hires for the job I want, the woman I spoke to last year would see me, fall madly in love, and offer me the job I wanted.
She didn't even come out of her office. Secretary was cute though. Maybe they'll talk later.
I write as someone who is good-looking, don't I? And I'm not above using my looks for a job?
Dang it.

Hooky
I stayed home today from work. I knew I would when I was at work yesterday. I've been waking up every day feeling lousy and so this was good enough for me. If my car hadn't been in NJ the previous days, I'd have called out sick already. It didn't help that my supervisor dismissed my efforts yesterday and wanted to write me up for not completing an infinitesmally minute weekly task which snuck up on us a few months ago. (It's a weekly schedule so we can give account of our work week to our supervisors. Reasonable, I agree, and I tried to do it for the past four workdays, but something WORK-RELATED always came up and I forgot it. Ironic right? To be written up because I'm too busy working to tell my supervisor what I'm doing?) What REALLY frosts me is that I have some peers who have time to turn in their schedules faithfully because...ahem...THEY DO NO WORK. So, merrily, they lie. Their schedules are works of fiction. And they will get by. Me--honest, hard-working social-worker trying to became Professional Counselor--I get written up.
Makes you want to cuss like a sailor.
Anyway, today I'm going to follow up on jobs in NYC that I have applied for in the past and I'm running out of time. I did manage to get a good haircut around the block from me. I've been doing it myself for about two years now. It was sufficient, but y'know--I need to shine. I want out of Jersey. I want to inherit the life I've come to find in NYC.
Meanwhile Gary Null on WBAI is talking about cockroaches and food and other nice poisons. My apartment's first roach decided to make its grand entrance up my wall at this opportune time. I swear, I couldn't make this stuff up. RIP roach. I probably brought you from Jersey. Well, you're getting buried here in NYC, like me.
